South Manchester Wildlife Rescue (SMWR) is a Nether Alderley based registered wildlife charity run by Martin Turner. SMWR offers help and support for the care of injured animals and birds, looking to nurse them back to health and, where possible, return them to the wild.

Where Are We?

The Wildlife Rescue is located in Nether Alderley, near Alderley Edge, south of Manchester.

A call means the situation and condition of the animal can be assessed. We can provide you with information on what to do next and determine how best to get the animal to the rescue centre.

Given the numbers of incidents we deal with on a daily basis, it can be very helpful if you can drop the animal off at a mutually agreed time.
